The company was founded in 1946 by Sylvester W. Hron. From the beginning, he operated his business on the sound
basic principles of personal integrity, high ethical standards and
empathetic relations with his customers and employees.
The business grew
from a one man, three machine operation, to its present size. The
company now employs over 70 skilled men and
women working in a fully air-conditioned 34,000 square foot
building, utilizing the most modern, state-of-the-art equipment
available.
Richard W. Hron, eldest son of Sylvester, joined the firm in 1961 as
a machine operator and worked his way through all departments,
including sales. In 1978, he became President and Chief Operating
Officer of the Company. In December, 2007, his new role within the
organization became that of Chairman of the Board. He oversees daily engineering
tasks performed at Barton Precision Components.
A third generation Hron, Valerie E. Hron, eldest daughter of
Richard, joined the company in 1989. Valerie is a Certified
Public Accountant and currently holds the office of President. As of December
28, 2007, Valerie, along with her husband, Raymond Batista, who is
now the Executive Vice President, purchased the company from her
father and other family members.
Not only has the
company changed its ownership, but the name has changed, as well.
The company is now Barton Precision Components, LLC.
Though the name has changed, the founder's principles remain woven
into the fabric of the company's 62-year old operation.
